Resistant Dextrin

Table of Content [Hide]

Resistant dextrin, a soluble dietary substance, is highly resistant to digestion in the small intestine and is mainly fermented in the colon. As a fully soluble fiber, its temperature and processing conditions are extreme, and it is well tolerated, making it an ideal ingredient for increasing the fiber content of food and beverages.

The role and efficacy of resistant dextrin:

    1. Anti-sugar-delay aging, whiten skin

Resistant dextrin-delays and inhibits the absorption and digestion of sugar in the small intestine. Because anti-glycodextrin is water-soluble, it forms a gel to prevent the diffusion and absorption of sugar in the intestinal tract. Resistant dextrin can also change the secretion of gastrointestinal hormones, inhibit the absorption of sugar, and achieve the purpose of hypoglycemia.

Although the sugar is partially digested in the body, the undigested part is related to eggs; the white matter combines to produce age, which makes the protein glycated, which causes the cells to shrink and change color, which leads to aging, stains and dullness. Therefore, anti-dextrin can reduce sugar intake, prevent the combination of sugar and protein, can prevent aging and brighten skin tone.

    2. Anti-glycemia-control blood sugar and blood insulin response

Ingestion of drug-resistant dextrin-causes hypoglycemia (glucose response = 25) and blood insulin response (insulin response = 13) (Donazzolo et al. 2003). Therefore, as a slow-release carbohydrate, it can partially or completely replace other carbohydrates, such as sugar and starch.

    3. Anti-absorption of internal fat-weight control, fat loss, meal replacement

Fibersol-2 is a water-soluble dietary fiber, extracted from corn starch. About 50% of the fiber cannot be digested and absorbed by the body and is called "indigestible dextrin" or "resistant dextrin". Dietary fiber, known as the seventh nutrient in the human body, has satiety, low blood sugar index, can help clean the intestines, and many beverages will add dietary fiber such as anti-dextrin.

    4. Control weight and reduce fat

As a low-molecular-weight, water-soluble dietary fiber, resistant dextrin can significantly reduce the risk of blood cholesterol and atherosclerosis. Continuous intake may also reduce the concentration and amount of serum cholesterol and neutral fat. It can also absorb bile. Acid, fat, and keep its absorption rate down, lower blood lipids, and improve lipid metabolism in patients with various types of hyperlipidemia. So as to achieve the effect of weight control and fat reduction.

    5. Meal replacement

Resistant dextrin is an indigestible dietary fiber. It absorbs water and swells, making people feel full and helping to delay the regeneration of hunger, thereby reducing food intake and complementing the diet.

    6. Relieve constipation

Resistant dextrin starch and resistant starch are different standards. In fact, only 15% of the hydrolyzed upper digestive tract is digested by enzymes in the small intestine, and the rest enters the large intestine. 75% of the initial amount in the large intestine is fermented, and it gradually becomes 10% of the body. Increase stool volume and soften stools to improve constipation.
